Such a good Dad in Training

Aaron and I purchased a car seat yesterday. It was a sad day..........because I found out that a car seat will not fit in the back seat of my BMW...........but a good day.......because now maybe my husband will let me get a new one!!

This is Aaron practicing putting a stuffed girafe in the seat. I think these pics are adorable, so I decided to post them.

Book List 2011

The Kitchen House (A++) This was excellent. Run to get it. It's a book about a Plantation in the South. It's about two generations of families. It was sooo good I found myself sneaking chapters at all times of the day. Loved it!
The Brides House (A) This was an excellent book about three generations of women that live in the same house.
The Scorch Trials (B) I'm tired of books just ending. If you are going to make a third book, that's fine, just put some closure on your current one.
Halfway to the Grave (B) This is a new series I am starting. It's ok. I might go and get the next book before I judge them. Just OK.
Dead Reckoning (B) This is the last Sookie book until next year. I liked this the very least out of the series. The last two have been a little disappointing.
Dead in the Family (B) I didn't like this Sookie book as much as the others.
Saving CeeCee Honeycutt (A) This is adorable. It reads a lot like The Help. Go and get it. It us fun!
Undead and Unpopular (A)
Undead and Unreturnable (A) These are not scholarly reads, but I like them
Undead and unappreciated (A)
Undead and unemployed (A) These are fun. I liked them all. They are all A's
Undead and Unwed (A) I really liked this. It was kind of trashy but I like that! I will probably go and find the other books in the series
Grave Sight (B+) This was a fun mystery about a girl who can hear dead people. Super easy, fun read
A Summer Affair (F) I hated this. The cheaters didn't get caught. They just ended it. I felt bad for their spouses. Horrible book
Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye (A-) I won this from the Authors blog and it was really cute. If anyone wants to borrow it they can. I really liked it and finished it while I was sick.
Dead and Gone (A) Ok this is the last one until May. I am so excited!

Dead as a Doornail (A) I am just going to give all the Sookie Books the same rating. I love them!
Truly, Madly. (F) This was a romance that I found at the libray under Readers Choice and I thought it sucked. I forced myself to finish it.
Dead to the World (A-) Very Good. This is the fourth book in the True Blood series. Only five more to go
Club Dead (A) My favorite Sookie book so far. These are horribly trashy and just plain fun.

Book List 2010

Living Dead in Dallas (2nd Sookie book) (A-) Great, not as good as the first one. Read it in two days! Bring on the third!
Dead until Dark (1st Sookie Stackhouse book) (A) I love it! I do not like vampire books but this one is more supernatural than anything. There are shapshifters in it!
The Great Gatsby (A-) I reread this and liked it. I didn't care for Daisy.
Shanghai Girls (A-) This was very good. Memoirs of a Geigha-like.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth (D) This book was a huge disapointment. Wimpy characters and not much substance.
Ape House (B) This book is by the author of Water for Elephants. It was good but not as good as her other book.
One Day (A-) I liked this book. The format was awesome. It is only a snapshot of one day in these two peoples lives. July 15th from 1980 to present. Every year is a different chapter.
Angelina:An unauthoized Biography: Ok, Whoa, she is a horrible person. An ex-heroin addict (until 2004ish), a slut, extreme adulterer, severe anorexic, and a psycho. Good book though (B)
Mockingjay (A+) Didn't end like I had hoped, but it was still great
Whistling Dixie in a Nor'Easter (B+)
Goddess of the Hunt ****** Loved it, very trashy and fun romance
The Maze Runner ***** Very good. Excited for the second book to come out.
Catching Fire **** I didnt like it as much as the Hunger Games but it was still really good.
The Strain **** Very, very scary.
Enders Game- *** Good, but I didn't like the ending. Really SciFi-ish
A Perfect World ** Didn't like the ending
Blue Heaven **** Also a good mystery/thriller
Little Bee ***** Very good. Graphic
Open Season ***** My moms fav book. Lots of dirty parts.
The Murderers Daughters *** Ending was so-so
The Marriage Bureau for Rich People ***** Very cute easy read.
The Likeness *** Good, not amazing.
The Handmaidens Tale ***** Really good. Post Apoc. 1984ish
Etta- ** Ok, not horrible. It's about Butch Cassidy's girlfriend
Angelas Ashes ***** Very, very good.
The Hunger Games ***** Very Good
